About me

Hi, I'm Shelley. I'm a painter living on the Sunshine Coast, and most of what I paint is still life. Lemons, pears, shells I've picked up on holidays, a coffee and croissant on a sunny morning. Simple things, but they always come with a memory attached.

A lot of my work comes from Italy. The striped umbrellas at Monterosso, spritzes in Vernazza, the coloured houses in Portovenere. Some of it is closer to home, like the rockpools at Kalbarri, or the pawpaw my grandparents grew in their backyard.

I paint in acrylic and I love warm, sunny colour and soft shadows. Most of my originals are framed in natural oak, so they're ready to hang when they get to you.
