Commission a piece

Got a spot on the wall that needs something made just for you? I take on a few commissions each year. It might be a still life of the things you love, a place that means something to you, or a painting made to suit a particular room.

How it works

  1. Tell me what you're after

Fill in the form with what you'd like painted, roughly what size, and where it's going to hang. Photos of the room or your favourite things are really helpful.

  2. We work out the details

I'll get back to you with some ideas, a size and a price. Commissions are priced on my usual size guide, plus a bit extra for the design work.

  3. Lock in your spot

A deposit holds your place in my painting schedule. The rest is due once the painting's finished.

  4. I paint it

I'll send you progress photos as I go, and you'll see the finished painting before it's framed.

  5. It comes home

It's framed in oak and ready to hang. I can send it by insured courier anywhere in Australia, or you can pick it up from me on the Sunshine Coast.

Common questions

How much does a commission cost?

It depends on the size. As a rough guide, a small 25 × 25 cm painting starts at around $440, and a 46 × 61 cm piece is around $1,300, framed.

How long does it take?

Usually four to eight weeks once we've agreed on everything, depending on the size and what else I've got on in the studio. If you need it by a certain date, just let me know.

Can I choose the colours?

Yes! I'm happy to work with your colours, a fabric or a room, so it feels like it belongs on your wall.

What if I'm not sure what I want?

That's totally fine. Tell me a bit about the space and the things you love, and we'll figure it out together. Having a look through the gallery for pieces you're drawn to is a good place to start.
